All About the Big Girl

Seems like since the newest addition arrived the blog has been all about the baby. To be expected. So what has our big girl been up to? Lots! She is such a character- a challenge, a ham, a sweet little pumpkin. She has really been testing her independence these days- choosing her outfits, dressing herself, really wanting to do everything for herself.

Her imagination is exploding- I smile to myself all day as I listen to and watch her play. She has one creative mind. And did I mention her invisible friends? Her most consistent invisible pals are "Holly" and "Rudolph." Oh, and her dog "Sparky." She really gets into playing with them- especially "Holly." Cracks me up on a daily basis. She loves to paint, play with play-doh, all things princess, dig in the dirt,dance and she really loves to read. I adore this little blessing!

Little Clown

In January we went to the circus. Ella really loved it. Especially the clowns. On 2 separate occasions over the last several months she has decided to paint her mouth like a clown. Both times she has come out of my room exclaiming- "Do I look like a clown?!" Yes, Ella, yes you do. You try keeping a straight face at that one.

Milestone A Minute

This girl has been blazing through the milestones lately- newest tricks include lots of laughing, spitting (or raspberries), rolling over from tummy to back and the latest- holding a toy and putting it in her mouth. She is sleeping like a champ lately, 11-12 hours a night. Mama is pleased!

Sweet Chubs

Ahh, this photo makes mama so happy! Look at those sweet, chubby little thighs. Mama has worked hard for that! Now that we have my diet (no dairy no soy) figured out, little C is doing so much better, and finally putting on weight like she should be. Could she be more relaxed?

Ella Sings

3 Months

Can't believe it's been 3 months since Caroline entered our lives. Already, I can't begin to imagine our lives without her in it. She is an incredible addition to our little family. In these early much there's not too much exciting to report as far as milestones go...she has rolled over a few times.  It's been fun trying to make her laugh, and she's doing it more and more. A few weeks back we learned I needed to cut Soy out of my diet (in addition to Dairy) and it has made such a difference in little C. Much less spitting up going on...so she finally seems to be putting on a lot more weight. We'll find out for sure at her follow-up appointment on Tuesday.

It's fun to look back at what Ella was doing at this age and to compare the two. It's also nice to have a better idea what lies ahead (for the most part). We are all thoroughly  enjoying this sweet little blessing- still the happiest little baby I know! :)

First Laughs

We are thankful for the technology that enables us to catch these sweet moments. Love the noise that actually got her laughing. Of course she was laughing much more before we started the video, but here are a few little snippets...no belly laughing just yet, but still so cute! At least I know when all else fails, someone thinks I'm funny!

Caroline Talks

Alternate title- "Mommy Sounds Like A Goober." :) Caroline was really "talking" last night, she was going for quite awhile before I shot the video. Good thing Daddy is the one w/ the video on his phone...otherwise I'd be videoing the girls all day long. :)
