Splish Splash

The whole family is thrilled with the brand new splash park just minutes from our house. This was only E's second visit, and the second we got out of the car she was squealing with excitement. This will certainly be one very good way for us to weather the sweltering heat this summer.

Scenes From an Easter Basket

E got her very first Easter Basket yesterday, and she definitely enjoyed it. She got into the candy right away, unwrapped and ate a piece all by herself! She's never eaten candy before so it was pretty funny, she looked like she's been eating it all her life!

It was all fun and games until she started eating the candy & the wrapper....
PS- All that candy isn't for E- it's the family basket! :)

Last week, E learned a new word: "outside." It was kind of random for her because it's not something I emphasize with her much and we don't play outside too often. But she started saying it and meaning it, and now is always wanting to go outside! She gets really upset when it's time to head back in.

E's newest love is babies (baba's). She has been fascinated w/ the real thing for quite some time, but during our visit to PA she was introduced to her cousin's dolls. She loved them! It was so precious to watch. Now she's really looking forward to getting her first baby doll in Spain later this month.

Snow Much Fun!

The entire week prior to our trip I watched the forecast and hoped for snow. I couldn't wait for E to explore and enjoy the cold white stuff. My prayers were answered and there was a nice amount of snow. However, E preferred to admire it from inside the house. When we finally went outside to play, she wouldn't let me put her down. Not even once. She was terrified! Maybe next time...

Pittsburgh Family Fun

Last weekend E and I journeyed to Pittsburgh to visit lots and lots of family-aunts, uncles, cousins and more. As always we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our loved ones who we rarely see- including E's great-grandfather, a real treat!
