Lunch

Today was my first attempt at introducing lunch to Ella. I had been planning since yesterday for today to be the big day, and didn't take her grouchy mood into consideration. Bad idea. She did NOT want to eat her food, and she made sure I knew it. That is how we ended up with this photo- much more food than usual all over her face, and even up her nose. Nice.

5 Months Old

So here we are at five months old, and what a wonderful 5 months it has been at the Cobb house. Ella continues to grow like a weed, both physically and developmentally. She is currently perfecting the art of rolling over from tummy to back, and is trying so hard to roll the other way. She's starting to enjoy her rice cereal a bit more, and is loving exploring the world with her hands and her mouth. Her current favorite activities include: playing in her exersaucer, playing with Charlie and snuggling with mama and daddy. In a few days we will start to introduce some green veggies...look for pictures soon!

The food adventure has begun at the Cobb house. We had hoped to wait until Ella was 6 months to begin this journey, but she had other plans. She is hungry! Her doctor told us to watch for certain cues, and sure enough she was telling us loud and clear it's time to bring on the food! Here are a few shots from our first attempt.
